My cats are very overweight and need to lose pounds?

This might sound silly but a piece of string can be a very effective toy for cats. My cats love string and they will chase me around the house if i am carrying one. Find a toy that your cats are attracted to and play with them at least 30 minutes a day. And for a snack make your mother give them cat nip! Its the best thing ever. Its a natural herb (not at all dangerous) You can buy an actual catnip plant or you can buy packaged catnip at places like PETCO. Its like eating leaves and will not effect their weight at all and they love it! They usually get really frisky/playful when given catnip so maybe getting them to exercise after having catnip would be a good idea.
