Is talcum power harmful?

my son poured a entire tub of talc on my 10 month old and now both the boys have started coughing whilst they're sleeping, could they have inhaled the talc and if so is it harmful to them... I know people must have had this before so i just want to know that they are okay and its not dodgy.
