Is there a way to turn a KIP 2000 printer off without turning off the scanner?

I work in a small office and our KIP 2000 printer constantly makes fan noise. It will stop when we turn off the whole printer from the black switch on the side, but we need the scanner to be on not necessarily the printer until we need to print.
