Plsease help. what is going on with my computer? 10 points?

I my com pouter kips saying system error and does this checks on its oWn i can open system restore. i tried to restore it using safe mode and it was ok. i can no longer find all my folders, and with some folders i can see videos or pictures on the outside but i click on folder and nothing they are erased go to search and nothing please help. 10 POINTS AND THUMBS UP TO ANY HELP FULL ANSWERS
