What is DNS ?? free domain problem HELP !! how to...?
Hi, although it's not so simple to explain it in simple words but I'll try to be as simple as it's possible. So DNS servers are online servers that translate domain names to ip adresses, for example when you type in your browser www.yahoo.com it goes to one of many DNS servers and translates it to ip adress to be able open that website, Zone record is translation information for every domain name, for example yahoo.com>>67.195.160.76, google.com>>74.125.224.51 and so on. DNS server is responsible only for finding your website by it's domain name, so when you type freedomain.com/xyz/anyname/something DNS is responsible only for providing information where is your domain on internet (eg freedomain.com) and it has nothing to do with what comes after freedomain.com. What's your real website URL? Can you ping it by domain name?
